Quick cute pic
This picture was taken on Wednesday night when my mom was visiting. It was the day Zach was taken off the breathing tubes, and Logan was still on. They were changing the little adhesive pads that hold the tubes in place, so we got to see Logan's face for a moment. Under the low light, he opened his eyes and looked at each of us, and at his brother. Like an idiot, I had forgotten my camera, but fortunately the nurse was quick with the polaroid. The image quality isn't the best, but you can see him enviously looking at Zach, who's sleeping comfortably without tubes.
Home without the boys
For Robyn, last week was a long week in the hospital on bedrest, and it's been a long week since the C-Section, so she was very happy when the doctor said the words "go home" and "today" in the same sentence. The blood pressure crept up a little, but not dangerously so. Not uncommon for someone after having major surgery. Every day gets better for her. Today she was able to (slowly) walk the length between our room and the ICU and back. A great improvement. Her pain level has been low enough that she's been able to keep the pain meds to a minimum. I'm very happy with how her recovery is going. The boys are still in the ICU, and are also doing better each day. We have an expected homecoming date of next Saturday (Oct. 28th) if all continues to go well.
After getting Robyn home, and having family over tonight, we're exhausted, so I'll leave you with pictures from the last couple of days. We got to feed the boys for the first time on Thursday afternoon. It's probably about as happy as I've ever seen Robyn. They're starting to open their eyes more, especially when the lights are low. On Thursday night, the grandmas got to hold and feed the boys. It's probably about as happy as I've ever seen both of them.
Both boys get tested regularly in the ICU. This morning, Logan tested just slightly jaundice, so he got the tanning bed treatment today.
