No news is good news
Robyn had a brief doctor's visit earlier this week, to check the status of things. The good news there is that everyone is still healthy, and that Robyn's not in any danger to go into labor anytime soon. In fact, after our hospital visits, our OB wanted to see her every week, but after this week's visit he felt comfortable waiting 2 weeks until seeing her again. That was very good news to hear!
Robyn also had a not-so-brief visit (earlier on the same day) to test against Gestational Diabetes. It's something all pregnant women get tested for, and the first test showed positive for Robyn. However, it turns out that the test gives false-positives frequently, so when a positive occurs they bring the patient back for a more sensitive test, which is what Robyn was doing this week. And that turned out negative (which is good... if we had to cut carbs and sugars out of Robyn's diet, there wouldn't be much left that she would eat).
So, at the moment, no news is good news. The novelty of feeling the babies kick has worn off... we've moved on up to WATCHING the babies kick. Seriously. It's pretty crazy. It always makes me think of the movie Space Balls, at the end where the alien kicks through someone's stomach and then starts singing "Hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime galllllll" (parodying both the movie Alien and the Warner Brothers cartoon One Froggy Evening... absolutely brilliant). Which reminds me... Robyn gives me a dirty look every time I start singing it... so naturally, I need to make it my ringtone or something... :)
