Of course we're having boys...
Wouldn't you know it? After all of the great girls names, that we could agree on, and the boys names that we couldn't agree on, of course it would turn out that we're having boys. (For more information, see definition: irony)
So, we now have our realistic list of names. (That is, the only 4 that we can agree on.) The good news is that we have the middle names covered. (So we only have to come up with 2 names, not 4!) We're going to use my grandfather's and his brother's names. The first one out will use Edward as their middle name, and the second will be Edwin. (Sidebar: I called Uncle Edward on his birthday, which happened to be the day we found out the genders, and told him that we wanted to use Edward and Edwin as the middle names. He was very touched.)
Logan - (Popularity) (Meaning). We both still really like this name. I'm only hesitant to use it because all of the other names we like have nicknames... seems like it'd be unfair to have one son with a cool nickname and not the other.
Sebastian - (Popularity) (Meaning). I wasn't really excited about this name until Robyn suggested the nickname "Bash". I can't tell you why I think that's really cute, but I do.
William - (Popularity) (Meaning). After Robyn's dad and grandfather, we'd probably use "Will". I was really surprised that Robyn really liked this name, because it's very "plain jane" compared to the others. However, we both like keeping family names, and that's one that has been in her family for a while, and it's nice that it has so many derivatives (William, Will, Bill, Billy).
Zachary - (Popularity) (Meaning). We really like this one, despite it's proximity to our dog's name. As it turns out, this one is particularly popular these days. A friend of Robyn's told a story about a trip to the airport, where a mother called for her son Zachary and ended up getting the attention of about 5 boys in the vicinity. If this is going to be the uber-popular name of the decade, we might skip it.

Logan and Sebastian are both cool names; you'll come up with a good nickname for Logan once you meet him.
